Saturday Day Pass: October 12th
For the women who can't stay overnight but need to be held.
You want this. The connection, the restoration, the room full of women who understand exactly what you carry. But you've got children at home. You need to be there for bedtime. You can't manage a full weekend away.
So I made something for you.
The Saturday day pass gives you the heart of the retreat in one nourishing day. Not a condensed version. Not a workshop.
A full arc: arrival, grounding, deep conversation, nourishment, choice, and supper at the table with your people.
You arrive for breakfast as the group is forming. You leave after supper, carrying the day with you.

What Your Saturday Looks Like
8am: Breakfast
This is where the day starts. Everyone gathers — the overnight women, the day-pass women, the practitioners. Proper breakfast, unhurried. This is where you meet everyone. Where you know the faces, the voices, the stories you'll be sitting with through the day.
Arriving for breakfast means you land into the group as it forms, not into a group that's already underway.
10–11am: Somatic Practice
An hour of gentle, grounding movement in the studio with our practitioner. Not a workout. A conversation with your body. The kind where your nervous system finally gets to come down from holding — from holding your clients' stories, your children's needs, everyone else's weight.
11–11:30am: Mid-morning Break
A pause. A beautiful, nourishing snack. Time to land in your body before the deeper work.
11:30am–1pm: Held Conversation Circle
This is the heart of it. Sitting with women who don't need an explanation. Women who spend their weeks doing exactly what you do — sitting with other women through the hardest work of their lives.
Each woman shares the story of why she came to this work, and what it means to her. You listen. You're listened to. The kind of conversation you almost never get, because it requires being in a room with people who genuinely get the texture of what you carry.
1–2pm: Lunch
Proper food, made with care. Everything thought of, everything prepared. The kind of cooking that takes time and tastes like it. You spend your weeks feeding everyone else. Today, someone cooks for you.
1:30–3pm: Optional Second Conversation Circle
If you want more time in deep conversation with the group, there's another held circle this afternoon. Same quality of listening, same chance to go deeper into what's landing for you. Optional — but there if you need it.
Many day-pass women find this is where the real connection solidifies. You've sat together through the morning, you know each other's voices now. This second circle often goes somewhere the morning one doesn't.
2–6:30pm: Afternoon — Your Choice
Alongside the optional circle, the grounds and experiences are available to you.
You might:
Sit in the wood-fired hot tub and let your nervous system settle into warmth
Walk the sixteen acres and let your mind actually wander for the first time in months
Book a one-on-one massage — the kind of touch that releases what you've been holding
Join in a wild swim in the river if you're brave (October cold, but the kind that catches your breath then settles everything)
Sit by the fire with a book, or with another woman in quiet conversation
Find a quiet corner and genuinely rest — the kind of uninterrupted time you don't get at home
The point is this: you have options, and you get to choose what your body needs in this moment. Not what you think you should do. What you actually need.
This is the restoration part. The part that lands in your body and reminds you that you deserve to be held too.
6:30–9pm: Supper
The day ends where it often does — around a table with food and conversation. Slower now. Easier. Everyone's landed a bit deeper into themselves and each other by this point.
You leave after supper, carrying the day with you. Home by evening, in time for bedtime routines and the real life waiting there.

Who This Is For
Women who work with mothers in any capacity — therapists, doulas, midwives, perinatal practitioners, postnatal workers, coaches, counsellors, body workers, mental health professionals. You're almost certainly a mother yourself.
You give a lot. You give to the women you work with. You give to your children at home. And somewhere along the way, you've forgotten how to be the one who's held.
This day is for that.
Your Questions
Can I arrive late or leave early? We'd love you for breakfast (that's where the group forms), but if you can't arrive until after yoga, that works. And you need to leave before supper? We can work with that. Just let me know in advance.
What if I want the massage? Add £70 to your booking and we'll schedule your one-on-one treatment into the afternoon free time.
What should I bring? Comfortable, warm clothes for inside and outside. A swimming costume if you want to use the hot tub or try the river. Anything that makes you feel at home.
Do I have to share anything personal? The held conversation circles are optional in terms of how much you share. You can speak, listen deeply, or be quiet. No one will be asked to share more than they want to.
Where is The Quaives? In a tiny hamlet called Seaton, just outside Canterbury in Kent. About 90 minutes from central London by car, and reachable by train via Canterbury East or Canterbury West (about a 15-minute taxi from the station). Free on-site parking for everyone attending.
